Ceramic fiber is a type of refractory material that comprise an alumina-silica composition, held together by an inorganic binder. Its lightweight and low-density properties make it ideal for high temperature applications requiring low thermal mass. Ceramic fiber products can withstand very high temperatures up to 1649°C and corrosive environments therefore commonly used in furnaces, boilers, automobile industries, etc.
